The slog

Just when you thought that the weather was as weird as it can get, it gets weirder! It wasn't too bad to begin with - we'd had Daughter One staying overnight and it was dry when she set off down town for an early bus to Glasgow. The morning continued drizzly, but after lunch, when I was thinking of walking down town, the heavens opened. We had a heavy shower, really torrential, not a very long one, but before long the rain stopped, the sun came out and the rest of the afternoon was sunny.

At this time of year the sun is shining up our road during the afternoon and lighting up the stone copings on the wall. The telephoto lens makes the road look a lot steeper than it really is, though as you can see by the body language of the girl walking up, it's a fair climb.

Enjoyed some good conversations with people and got home as the sun was dropping below the clouds.
