Still growing

Was amazed to see the pot of geraniums still producing lovely blooms this late in November but the colour is lovely and I thought it was perfect for FlowerFriday. Thanks to BikerBear for hosting.

Michael & Ali arrived safely just after 9.30 looking slightly she’ll shocked. They took off from Tampa yesterday in a tropical storm and landed in very gusty winds at Edinburgh so it was a bumpy crossing. Henry was very pleased to see them and nice for them to be back but poor Phin has looked lost all day without his wee chum.

Observed the two minutes silence at 11am whilst watching the BBC coverage from around the country. Very poignant.

Managed to get some sheets on the line and within an hour of windy conditions they were pretty dry. Imagine, drying washing outside in Scotland in November!

Had to go for a nap this afternoon as I was falling asleep over my blanket. Felt quite refreshed when I woke at just before 6.

Headed out for dinner just before 7 but as we hadn’t booked, we couldn’t get into the first 2 places we tried. Our third stop should have our first choice as they were very welcoming, service was quick and efficient and our food was delicious. I enjoyed my fish and chips whilst Mr PHL scoffed his chicken and haggis lasagne. Phin was quite well behaved too.
