MOTH

The Memorable Order of Tin Hats was formed in 1927 by Charles Evenden who had witnessed life in the trenches. Its ideals are:
T.C.  (True Comradeship) by practising front line friendship in civilian life;
M.H. (Mutual Help) by acknowledging the personal and collective obligation to help each other as in front line service;
S.M.  (Sound Memory) by remembering the fallen as a living companionship and to serve their memory in practical actions which rise above divisions of social status, race, or politics.

I hadn't heard of MOTH before. I found a dead red underwing moth in the shed and brought it in as a possible EB subject. I have photographed it with a poppy on an image of a Tommy going over the top at The Somme.

I was not amused when a local let off a firework in the middle of the two-minute silence.
