Forgive Me Greta, For I Have Sinned..

Today was a day of utter indulgence.

It will most likely never happen again.

We went for a long ride out, taking in some fine views in the Welsh Borders. Stopping for afternoon tea at Mellington Hall, once a grand house now a fine hotel. And then a long looping drive over the mountain through Anchor, Newcastle and Clun where there are some impressive castle ruins.

The forests were alive with late autumn colour and the views far reaching and superb.

Back home and replete after a wonderful hot meal cooked by Mrs I and a sociable evening  in front of the log burning stove.

A grand day out, and a real privilege.

Feeling very lucky indeed.
