Succulent surprise

Went in to the living room this morning and noticed this tiny, delicate little white flower on the succulent. The first time it's ever flowered, and looks like there are lots more flowers to come!

A bitty sort of day, but managed to get quite a lot done. Even went out for a walk down to the river this afternoon. After all the recent stupidly mild weather over the last few weeks, it actually feels like November today with a real chill in the breeze, and I was glad of my winter jacket.

While I was out, MrM attempted to fit the new flow valve handle on to the shower, only to discover that it doesn't fit. On returning I phoned the manufacturer. It seems that they discontinued the shower a couple of years ago, and now make a shower to a new design but with the same name as the one they no longer make. How stupid is that?! No wonder the replacement handle doesn't fit. It seems the only option is to buy a new shower.

PS. I bought this as a tiny plant in a pot labelled 'succulent' a few years ago, and thought it was a succulent until I found its image on the internet this afternoon. Seems it's a cactus...
