A day in the life

Lights

Living in the country can feel a bit isolated, even more so if it's dark November with eight hours of daylight and when there is a total lack of streetlights around. On the downside of me is a small cottage where an elderly lady has just moved in. She loves the place and doesn't comment on the pitch black surroundings after half past five in the afternoon but after coming home this evening when I had put up some "Christmas lights" on the shed, she was thrilled and thought it looked cosy and snug and now she could find her way to her entrance without a torch (she has to pass behind the shed to get to her entrance), now that there is light even on the back of the shed. My camera doesn't handle darkness very well and distorts colours and light a bit, it's really a lot darker.
