A view from Jeanneb

Bye for now

till next month. A brief visit but great to see them. Eda was sad when she found we weren’t going to be there when she gets home from school. We had a hug and Jude came for one too.

I watched them head out into the rain for their bike ride to school and nursery. Did a bit of adjusting of Grace’s curtains that I altered for her and she had just put up when we arrived last week, then we set off.

Grace had left for work in Bristol at 7.30 and when I texted her to say we were off she was stuck in traffic. It took her two hours!
We hit the same traffic on the M4. Signs said there had been a fire and we did see fire engines but we continued to the M5 which was clear but there was a queue onto the M32 which is the road she takes.

No more traffic problems but absolutely atrocious weather all the way. We stopped at Gloucester Services for coffee and a breakfast bap. Sitting by the window overlooking the pond with rain bouncing off it I couldn’t help but contrast it with yesterday’s breakfast scene!p and pool!

We are now home. One lot of washing on and we’ve popped the heating on for a short while. The cat is pleased to see us and I notice that the trees that haven’t dropped their leaves are showing much more colour. Still raining!
