A Day In The Life

Fika

After a bit of shopping we stopped by to browse a few books at our favorite bookstore. MrsP suggested nondairy hot chocolates and a cookie. How could I pass up afternoon fika? MrsP found a quiet corner table for us to sip, chat and nibble, while I waited for our order. The walls of the café have large murals depicting great writers, poets and satirists. These giants are no longer with us but their varied works and words live on to inspire, teach and challenge. I admire their legacies • Seed and suet feeders are filled in anticipation of our first snowstorm tonight. It’s forecasted to continue through tomorrow. Only a couple of inches is expected but it will be mixed with sleet and ice. What a mess! I always hope for a snow-free November because snow helps hunters track the dear deer. Fingers crossed the snow doesn’t last • Have a safe and healthy week!
