Letters From My Dad

When my sister moved to Texas, she gave me a box of letters written from my dad to my mom. They span the time from when their courtship began in 1944 through World War II and Korea.  My dad was in the US Army and was a veteran of both wars, so they were apart for years at a time, communicating mainly by mail. It is going to take a while to read all the letters, but I have committed to reading at least one daily. Those I am reading now are from when they were engaged. My mom was living in New York City and working as a bond trader on Wall Street. My dad was in Ft. Knox, Kentucky, learning about tanks. In tonight's letter,  he is trying to sell Ft. Knox as being a fun alternative to NYC.
