Will they do it?

Another cricket photo...sorry about that, but my life seems to consist of watching one cricket match after another and when you have spent 4 hours watching a cricket match there is not much time to get any other photos.

My son batted very well today and his partnership scored the most runs. Amongst others, he hit a beautiful cover drive for 4 runs which apparently was an excellent text book shot.

Cricket can be very slow and, let's face it, very boring. As Robin Williams observed, 'cricket is basically baseball on valium'. Cricket only gets exciting when it is about to end and the winner is yet to be determined. That is exactly what happened today.

My son's team were chasing 146 runs - they had to get 147 runs to win. It was the last over and the tension was running high. Here you can see his team anxiously watching the batsmen out there, urging them on to get the remaining runs needed to win. It was the final over (the 30th) and they only had to get 4 runs - but this is schoolboy cricket and anything is possible.

They did it...and won!
