Fleeting visit

Jays rarely visit our garden, and only ever briefly. So I was really pleased to spot this one through the kitchen window, as I was putting a Christmas cake mix together.  I think this one had found a peanut left behind by one of the many squirrels.

A hasty shot, but a welcome flash of brightness in the November half-light.
