Gwaith ar y gweill

Gwaith ar y gweill ~ Work in progress

“Deuparth gwaith yw ei dechrau / Starting the work is two-thirds of it”
—(Welsh Proverb)

Daeth y gweithwyr, eto, ar naw o'r gloch y bore ... Heddiw roedd y tywydd yn well - braf a dweud y gwir ac roedden nhw'n gallu gwnaed cynnydd da iawn. Ar gefn y tŷ roedd llawer o waith atgyweirio i wneud, ond ym mlaen y tŷ roedd y gwaith yn symlach. Mae gyda ni yn awr wal gydag is-gôt o sment a phaent, gyda'r lliw terfynol i'w osod yfory (os bydd y tywydd yn ganiatâd, unwaith eto). Bydd y tŷ yn edrych yn dda pan mae'r gwaith yn cwblhau.

The workers came, again, at nine o'clock in the morning ... Today the weather was better - fine really and they were able to make very good progress. At the back of the house there was a lot of repair work to do, but at the front of the house the work was simpler. We now have a wall with an undercoat of cement and paint, with the final colour to be applied tomorrow (weather permitting, again). The house will look good when the work is complete.
