Siarad, ffrind, a mynd i mewn ~ Speak, friend, and enter

“The traveller has to knock at every alien door to come to his own, and he has to wonder through all the outer worlds to reach the innermost shrine at the end.”
—Rabindranath Tagore

Dyma ddrws sy'n araf ddiflannu... Unwaith roedd e'n ddrws go iawn i'r tŷ bach y tu allan. Yna fe wnaethon ni ei wneud yn dŷ bach tu mewn a'i fyrddio'r drws i fyny. Nawr fel rhan o’r gwaith adnewyddu mae'n dechrau diflannu yn llwyr.

Mae'n diddorol i weld i fod wedi byw trwy'r holl newidiadau yma. Mae gennym luniau o'r plant yn llenwi eu pistolau dŵr o'r tap yn y tŷ bach allanol. Fyddai'n diddorol i weld ffotograffau hen a newydd gyda’i gilydd.

Yn y pen draw ni fydd unrhyw olion o'r drws

‘Mae'r ffordd ar gau ...’
― J.R.R. Tolkien, ‘The Return of the King’

(Rydw i'n siŵr bod Tolkein wedi cymryd ei ysbrydoliaeth o'n tŷ bach)

This is a doorway that is slowly disappearing... Once it was a real door to the outside toilet. Then we made it an inside toilet and boarded up the door. Now as part of the renovation it is starting to disappear completely.

It is interesting to see to have lived through all these changes. We have pictures of the children filling their water pistols from the tap in the outside toilet. It would be interesting to see old and new photographs together.

Eventually there will be no trace of the door

'The way is shut ...'
― J.R.R. Tolkien, 'The Return of the King'

(I'm sure Tolkein took his inspiration from our outside toilet)
