Before and After (main / extra)

TLDR: we made it home in time. :-)

A predictable yet disappointing day for Scotland. I'm not Scottish but I have sympathy for anyone wishing to divorce their landscape from the corrupt and mendacious hands of the government in England. There is obviously nothing above the Supreme Court so no chance of appeal, and the Scottish Parliament has been told quite firmly where they lie in the hierarchy.

a sad day for music too with the long predicted demise of Wilko Johnson. Like other musicians such as Dave Swarbrick his obituary was written some time ago, but he fought hard for many years (largely without medication but latterly with scalpels) against pancreatic cancer. His staring expression of imminent violence was very well used in Game of Thrones too.

So, we got our morning walk in and got home just before the hail and the thunderous bangs and flashes that accompanied it. I gather it banged and flashed all over the Severn estuary and well into Wales too. The extra is a long and a short exposure, melded together. The main is one of my favourite oak trees in his golden phase.

As for Wide Wednesday 'flowing water'... well, I leave that to your imagination. No-one said it had to be liquid. :-p
