A time for everything

An afternoon hike

Friday 18 November
After several gloomy dismal days, the sun was partially back today, which enticed us outside for our exercise, hiking at Rowe Woods. I had seen on Facebook, that they had recently finished a second boardwalk on the Redwing trail, so we thought we would go and check it out. The Redwing loop is fairly long, and more often than not is very muddy in places., so we don’t do it very often. However, with our mini drought which we have been experiencing, the trail was pretty dry today, but we certainly remembered the areas where they’ve put the boardwalks as being the worst areas, so time will tell, when we finally start getting some decent rainfall.
In the evening, we tried out a French bistro in Milford I had recently heard of - having lived a total of 13 1/2 years in France, we enjoy our French food. Whilst not up to the standard of La Petite France in Evendale which we used to love, but unfortunately closed down a few years ago, it was pretty good, and likewise run by a genuine French couple.
