Shadow

We took the train about 1pm to Waterloo and walked towards Parliament Square for my afternoon Volunteering shift. PY was heading off to the National Gallery for an hour because his volunteer shift starts an hour later than mine when he’s based at Piccadilly Circus.  As always, the walk to Parliament Square across Westminster Bridge is really difficult with all the tourists but I made it.

It appears that two Team Leaders had arrived plus the morning Team Lead wasn’t going home either. So we were over staffed but, strangely, under instructed.  I went sent with Carol to stand by a map that’s just along from the Supreme Court. It has the wonderful advantage of being in the shade of a big tree which was a blessing as it was a hot, and very sunny, afternoon. A lovely day in the sunshine helping people around Westminster.  There was a protest in the middle of Parliament Square - animal rights with lots of pro-vegan slogans - but that didn't disturb.  I was  asked a question about services at Westminster Abbey, the answer to which is that to attend a service you should go via the Great West Door.
