Leftovers

A grey day, and one in which I've been skirting the borders of a migraine. Fingers crossed, that threat is receding now. It was triggered originally, I think, by Thursday night's poor sleep.

Anyway: I have not left the house all day. I've baked bread, and worked my way almost to the end of the Christmas list for family members.

Feeling a total lack of inspiration about indoor blips, I've delved back into autumn images from Woolley Wood. One of the things that interests me is the mix of items left behind by people who spend time there.  These are little clues about human activity, about particular times of year, and sometimes about human carelessness too.  Part of what's interesting is watching how these little traces are quite quickly absorbed into leaf litter and vegetation.  Some won't be biodegrading anytime soon, however, even if they fade from sight.
