Heavenly Music

A magnificent concert this evening by the Leicester Bach Choir at St James the Greater in Leicester, featuring new music and new singers, plus the Bach Camerata. As Gill said to me, wasn't it wonderful to sing alongside an orchestra again. Pieces by Cecilia McDowell and Ola Gjeilo were entirely new to me. Basil slept quietly all the way through.

Earlier in the day, I had enjoyed an RPS workshop on layers and blending given by Tim Daly. Inspiring and educational. Today's image is a reflection of what he was teaching, the ceiling of St James.
