Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

By NannaK

Jeff

The early morning sleet and wind calmed down for us when we went to Montague Harbour to pick up Jeff, our neighbor across the bay.     We didn’t know today is his 75th birthday! ! until we dropped him on his dock, just as there were a few snow flurries....……so he has to be the blip!
He was home in Vancouver for a few days to celebrate.   But now he can’t come and go as easily since he had the really terrible helicopter accident Sept 3rd which resulted in a broken ankle and other heel.   Great to see him mobile.  He's lucky to be alive.  He’s considering getting another helicopter but I’m not sure that will happen.   (He's been borrowing a boat recently but it was out of service today and he knew we were coming…the very least we can do for him!)   We’ve been neighbors here almost 32 years and although we have different opinions on lots of things, he could not be a better, more helpful neighbor.    I love that he brought a poinsettia.   If there isn’t too much snow,(some is predicted tomorrow...)  we’ll walk around there in the next few days and bring him some 75th birthday cheer.

Edit HERE is a link to my blip of Sept 4  (my birthday) which at the end explains the crash and the extra is a photo of the helicopter..just feet from where today's photo is....a huge high tide today...
