At the head of the loch

These cottages are (almost) at the head of Loch Riddon, hence the fact that one of them is called Lochhead Cottage.

The two new ones are rented for holiday lets, but I am increasingly struck how much building there has been in recent years for all purposes - a thought that was prompted by seeing  both a 1930s  and a 1960s archive film of Colintraive and the Kyles of Bute at the weekend (part of the Kyles Community Cinema Programme).   The village is recognisable, but much smaller.
