Marsh Harriers

We took a leap of faith this morning and headed over to WWT Martin Mere in the mist.  It was dark and dull and the mist didn’t really fully clear all day.
However, it was a very still day so reasonably good for birding, just not for photography. We saw plenty and the mere was full of ducks, geese and swans. There were also a full throng of winter thrushes and at least 5 Marsh Harriers making their presence felt from the Ron Barker hide. Technically quite poor shots, but we loved watching them anyway.
