Moonlight

This morning I met up with a friend outside the print studio to go through the disarming of the building's alarm system together. Disarming the alarm is new to us and, although we have been shown how to do it, we decided there was safety in numbers. Thank goodness we did. We put in the code and got the message INVALID. We retried and retried with the same result. Then the alarm went off. It was most disconcerting. My friend had the sense to ring the studio manager, who remembered that the code had been changed... but she had forgotten to tell us. The new code worked and the alarm stopped. It took a bit longer for our heart rates to slow down.

After a restorative cup of tea I spent some time deciding what to do with my pile of recently made prints - keep, chuck, rework. Later we had a meeting of our newly formed print group. We now have an embryonic website and plans for exhibitions next year. By the time I left the studio the sky, which was beginning to darken, was lit by a beautiful, waxing, gibbous moon.
