Nostalgia

This evening to entertain my Mother  we dug out these  old cassettes of recordings of  the famous singing  duet, "Flanders and Swan", performing " At the drop of a hat" and "At the drop of another hat", back in the1950's. (Fortunately we still have  the means to play  them!)
My parents  actually attended one of their performances at London's Fortune Theatre, in 1957/58.
Remarkably, although the lyrics of the songs were topical at the time, many still resonate today, such as in the "the Gas-Man Cometh" , "Slow Train" and "A song of Patriotic Prejudice". Others  like "The Hippopotamus Song" and "The Gnu Song" are  classics in their  own right.
