Living my dream

By Mima

Hardly a tree

My lemon bush is dripping with glorious yellow fruit. Weighed down in fact. I’m looking forward to the Lemon Drizzle Cakes.

Shock! Horror! There has been no rain today. It was still wet underfoot though and gardening was accordingly limited. I didn’t mind; there was plenty to do elsewhere.

The cheddar-not-Cheshire cheese is airing for a few days to develop a rind.

Two lots of sourdough were mixed and stretched, and are now in the fridge until I bake them in the morning.

The six hens laid seven eggs.

I picked the first of the broad beans. There’s a huge crop to come.

Bean and I had a long walk in the sunshine.

A good day.
