An article on Leicestershire Live alerted me to the run down state of this former service area just off Junction 22 of the M1, a mere junction from us. I used to like this service area because it was small and quiet. Which was exactly the reason it was finally closed down in 2014.

Given my general immobility I couldn't spend a lot of time taking photos. Besides Len was anxious about the broken glass with Basil on the lead, but this is my first photo foray since my operation.

Settled on the settee when we got back to enjoy a latte and the France vs Poland game.
