Laburnum

This is called Goldregen in German, which would translate to "Gold rain" in English. I think that's why it's called Laburnum in English. These rather pretty flowers were not there on Wednesday and they were everywhere on the walk home tonight.

Slight Kater this morning - swiftly remedied by tea and a liter of water. And then I was ready for the challenge from a colleague. We tried talking about it on the phone but my understanding was rubbish so I headed over. And we talked it through face to face and I could see what he was trying to do. It got a bit complicated but I'm quite good with Rexx now and came up with a plan. Problem 1 sorted.

Problem 2 took up the afternoon. But it was great fun. Talking through what the program has to do and then coding on the fly. Really enjoyable. More so because I came up with an answer that worked.

So feeling great I left for the weekend. And about 2 minutes later, I had the first spasm in my back. Sure sign that trouble is on the way. Had about 4 more on the way - the last one brought an involuntary "Owwww". Glad to be home.

Apologies for the lack of song yesterday. Today you get this:-

Nun scheint es mir, einige schöne Dinge
Sind auf deinen Tisch gelegt,
Aber du willst immer nur das, was du nicht bekommen kannst.
