The Albert. Overshadowed but not bowed

Managed to scamper up to London to have lunch with Chris today. Only about an hour and a half between conference sessions which we spent in the noisy Knights Templar Weatherspoons chatting over a curry. They do a good curry in Weatherspoons.

Covered topics from Madison to Landon and work and many more in between. He looked good and relaxed despite parenthood.

All to soon he had to be back for the afternoon session. I walked back with him to the conference hotel near Blackfriars then continued on along the South Bank to Westminster and onto Victoria in record time to catch the 14.55 home. Trains worked well both ways and the trip cheap with a railcard.

I thought the South Bank was supposed to be London’s Christmas market. I was very disappointing, not any different to the last time we walked along here in July. I was expecting plenty of blip opportunities.
