Murmuration

I’m heading into town for the BCS monthly meeting. Waiting at the temporary traffic lights in Howgate, there’s a small murmuration of starlings to watch in the iron sky.

I collect Tracey and Chris and take them into town. They’re off to the Edge awards at RBS Gogarburn, where Tracey’s employer is hoping for more funding. I’m one Smartbear sports bag heavier, containing my US gadgets and lots of Smartbear and Cucumber swag that Tracey is returning.

The BCS session is about non-invasive brain activity monitoring and the application of AI to improve diagnostic outcomes. It’s refreshing to have an academic presentation, and it generates a lot of questions.
