Gulberwick Snow 550am

Another cold day.  More frost and ice, more sunshine, more snow.  Fairly calm all day.

Early shift in the airport again, and another frosty drive down.  I've been working with oil and gas flights all day, well I was meant to be.  The radar system was knocked out with the weather, only emergency flights were allowed to fly today.  The radar didn't come back online until late in the afternoon, when most flights had finally been cancelled.  Been a long day.  Working in the shop this evening, and a busy evening, even with it snowing.  Off to bed early.

The day has been split in two again, with north being hammered with snow, sunshine in the south.  Late this afternoon the snow finally made it's way south.  There's lots of damage around the isles, mostly power lines down, over 3,000 homes without power.  More cars and vehicles off the road too, and sadly a woman found dead in Ollaberry.  Schools closed again tomorrow.  A quick stop on my way to work, looking over Gulberwick at 550am.  Gulberwick has been the worst hit area in the south mainland.
