Mitchella Repens

aka Partridge Berry and a bunch of other names too
This isn't with the two red berries or the little white flowers but I thought I would take a picture of this for Tiny Tuesday
They live!
I planted some last autumn and they didn't make it but in the Spring I planted many more. They had longer roots than the first batch and I think I better understood how to plant them. Now I go out and move the leaves off of them.

When we have to go back in to the office I will not be writing emails or pings at 7:30 am or answering questions and writing things at 7:30 pm. Harumph. I had it easy. They were holding a meeting at 10 pm last night.

At the G7 meeting the leaders said they would back Ukraine for as long as it takes, which is what Yellen said on 60 Minutes too. This means military support, sanctions against Russia, and aid to countries, esp in Africa, suffering from shortages caused by the war. They will help Ukraine through the winter. Russia will have to pay to repair the damage it has done.

The spot where I read that said Russia will have to pay to repair the damage it has done in its illegal war. I asked myself if war is illegal. War is illegal. Paris Peace Pact of 1928

Ukraine is going for Melitopol. The military damaged a key bridge to hurt supply lines to Russian troops. The bridge over te Molochna River has partially collapsed. It is now unusable for heavy military traffic. Melitopol is a key logistics hub that leads to Crimea. The tactics are similar to those used against Kherson - targeting Russian troops and supply lines.

Russia keeps devastating Ukraine's electrical system, a war crime, in hopes of devastating Ukraine so badly that it gives up from cold and desperation. The US is therefore finalizing plans to send Patriot missiles - something we have previously steadfastly refused to do. Again, every atrocity Russia commits leads to the situation getting worse for them. This is the most advanced air defense weapon we have.  It isn't approved - yet. They will probably be approved this week. Retired General Mark Hertling thinks they won't be on the battlefield in the near future because Ukrainian soldiers will have to be trained in how to use them.

A Russian State TV guest said, on TV, that Russia was incapable fo stopping Ukrainian strikes in Russia. There is increasing pressure to end the war.

China has supposedly banned the supply of military-grade processors to Russia by the company Loongson. (They need them for their own military.) Russian companies had hoped to switch to Loongson.
