Community Orchard

The apple, pear, plum and quince trees which make up the 10 year old community orchard in the frost this morning. Not the bigger trees. They're a lot older. In the extra ice on the river. There used to be ice going up and down the Forth with the tide most winters. With climate change it's a few years since I've seen it. You could hear it smashing against the pontoon.

No three year old today. We asked if we could have a day off to recover from this bug and fortunately she was slotted in for an extra session at nursery. I think it's for the best. Neither of us feels as on top of things as we have to be for lively children.

I'm busy cancelling/postponing/rescheduling anything that's non essential and anything remotely fun for the remainder of the week in the hope that by the weekend I'll be less feeble.
