Bronte Gathering

Each year there is a Steam Gathering in Cullingworth in aid of Manorlands, this area's Hospice run by Sue Ryder. Because of the proximity to Haworth it is called the Bronte Gathering. It can be a great day out with lots of vintage vehicles, motor bikes, steam engines, falconry displays, dog agility displays, and any other display you can think of. There are lots of stalls selling everything from glow in the dark sweets, to antique milkchurns, vintage clothing to vintage car parts! There were also several barrel organs of various sizes and shapes, which Mr H and I enjoyed listening to , Reggie was a bit freaked out by them! Today they were all there, but the weather was not on the organisers side, with high winds, blustery showers, and on the cold side. However, we had a good day out, and my favourite photo of the day wasn't the Austin A35's ( best car ever!) because I was talking so long to the owner that I forgot to take one, but the rear ends of several Massey Ferguson Tractors!
