Christmas party

Tuesday
A busy day today, starting with a hair cut for me, but I was the first appointment of the day so I was straight in, and it doesn’t take very long. Then later in the morning we were back at Christ Church cathedral downtown - they have so much music programmed throughout the year. Today was the usual Music Live at Lunch time, but it was a special performance of seasonal music by solo harp, followed by Benjamin Britten’s Festival of carols performed by the ladies of the church choir, another piece of music I love! They weren’t serving lunch today, just drinks and cookies, but that didn’t affect us, since afterwards we were going on to a church Christmas lunch for the Sunday morning Bible study group. It was at the house of P and C. The husband P. is Indian, but Christian, but his wife C. has always lived in the same area. So their house is an interesting mix of East and West decoration, but C. goes all out for interior Christmas decorations - you can see just a few in my blip, plus the lovely spread we enjoyed. After eating, we sang Christmas carols - so it was a lovely time celebrating the season. P goes back to India quite regularly, as he helped found a school there, with which he continues to be involved.
