A time for everything

Monday
After a number of gloomy days, it was a treat to wake to a clear sunny frosty morning. Today was an exciting day for Laura - she and Roger drove up to Dayton this morning to pick up her new car! (See photo in extras) This is the first time she’s officially owned her own car. In college she drove the car we had bought for the kids. Since then she has been out of the country. When she was in Kuwait she drove, but a lease car made best sense for her there. It was an hours drive back from Dayton, so that gave her a decent time to get used to it. Then the three of us went out walking at Fernald Reserve, and she drove us there. We saw a variety of bird life on the big pond, but unfortunately not close enough to get a good picture. We also saw six or seven deer, and a lot of evidence of beavers - you can see the dam in the top right photo. It was a good walk in the late afternoon sun. After a late dinner, Laura taught us a new game, Ticket to Ride Europe, which was fun. Now it’s past my bedtime, so Goodnight fellow blippers!
