Happy Christmas everyone!

4.50 was the first sounds of folk up, Olivia, but she didn't stay up. That was reprised at 6, this time for keeps. I emerged at 8 but no presents were opened till after 8.30 when WF came across from C Tower.

It's good here as it is not an over the top gift fest. The most popular present seemed to be the make up kit though later it was clear Amelia should have been separated from the nail polish. Even the cat got a present. She's was quite spooked by the time on first thing.

There were video calls with WX in Kent and WS in Taiwan, including baby Zho Zho. Me, I went for a swim and a lie in the sun that managed to appear. Then I did Amelia's make up and she helped with mine. I don't usually do full slap here but that make up box and Amelia's enthusiasm encouraged me.

#2 was supposed to arrive at 1. They showed up at 2, very Malaysian. I thought they'd come in a Grab, turned out there driven and later had to move the car. More presents, my total haul, voucher for the hammam, 2 bottles  of perfume, some soap and the stocking chocs.

Much food and drink was then eaten. #1 wasn't drinking due to the bump in his head the other night (mild concussion?). The main course was ordered in hoisin duck and brisket and there was Brussel sprouts, parsnips and carrots. Later a disaster with Christmas pudding #1. I let in boil in (no micro) so we had the second one (there was a third in reserve.) Then the very strong whisky infused cake that C brought (too much for me) and later the cream puff cake from the other C.

After the meal we played the family version of cards against humanity, Christmas bingo and then the fiendishly difficult Unstable Unicorns that I gave up on in the summer.

Spoke briefly, v briefly to #3 who was taking good wishes to the Manor. And we ended with Olivia and C playing with the mini fussball table.

It was a good day, we weren't groaning with overeating and there was not a turkey in sight.
