If truth be told, K and I have struggled to get into the Christmas spirit this year.  I suspect it’s a combination of a totally different climate, a lack of obviously Christmassy things around the place, and not having the environment and friends we’ve had over the last few years.  My colleague’s away and it’s just us on the compound which felt pretty quiet.  

That said, we’ve had a pleasant day.  We spoke to our friends, T&K, in Ottawa this morning.  They showed us their deep snowfall outside.  We played a few games of pool and cooked up a lovely lamb shoulder.
