Kent Icons

After a lazy few days (for me at least) it was good to get out in the fresh air and sunshine for some exercise and photography.  We went to Teston Bridge Country Park along the River Medway near Maidstone, Kent.  Unfortunately the sun was very  bright and contrasty, and wasn't in the best of places for photos of the river, bridge and nearby weir. However, I liked this view across the fields to some oast houses, a classic piece of Kent rural architecture, abeit a conversion from their original use for drying hops. A mono conversion has helped to overcome the high contrast conditions and fit in with the Mono Monday Challenge, even if it is not on theme!
