Wanderings & Witterings

Noel

It is said (well, I think it was Noel Coward who said) that only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun. I am not sure who else is daft enough to go out for a walk at 3pm on a late December afternoon in the cold teeming rain, apart from this eejit whose Blip journal you are currently reading. The things one does for a spot of exercise and to grab a Blip photo!

A quick (OK, 30 minute) walk there and back along the Banknock Railway path followed by a slip and slide a&se over elbow just as I returned to the car. On the plus side, my derriere-a-terre happened after the tarmac'd bit of the path had given way to a grassy, muddy bit several dozen yards earlier and as a result no Blippers were harmed in the process. On the minus side, my jacket and trousers already wet with the rain acquired a thick leafy, muddy sheen, some of which seems to have transferred itself to the drivers' seat of my car. Could have been worse.
