Wound up in Wexford

2nd Christmas

R and J are G's parents.  They kindly invited us to join them in celebrating a slightly delayed Christmas with their three offspring and partners.

So we had a leisurely breakfast at our luxury hotel.  It was raining all morning, so we had no urge to hurry out anywhere, but eventually stirred ourselves.  We had to photobomb some wedding photos to get out to our car.  We took a short trip into Kidderminster to pick up some ibuprofen and paracetamol (somewhat cheaper here than in Ireland).

On our return to the hotel, we realised that there is a car charger here, so, having checked and found that he was registered with the relevant charging app, W hooked the car up.

R had offered to act as a taxi service, so I could have a few glasses of wine and not worry about driving.  So we summoned our "taxi" and enjoyed the Christmas dinner laid on by J.

After the boys were in bed, we had a small exchange of gifts - some whisky for W, and a lovely stitching book and fabric squares for me.  I had made a Christmas runner for R and J, who kindly posed for a photo.
