Juvenile Gull

It reached 53°F (12°C) today, and last week’s snow is long gone. I took this opportunity to spend some time outdoors because it is supposed to rain during the next couple of days. This juvenile first winter Ring-billed Gull (Larus delawarensis) is just starting to get his adult gray back feathers. I encountered several gulls in the parking lot when I went to the local park.
