Umbrella girls at the park.

Only crazy grand parents take their granddaughters to the park in the rain but we had a great time.

The good thing about Alice Park in Larkhall is that it has a cafe so we went there first and had a coffee whilst the girls had milk ice pops. It wasn’t raining too heavily at that point so we went out into the play area and used the various swings. Jude wanted to go on the ‘big’ swing and after I pushed her she said ‘photo’ and then ‘cheese’. The resulting photo is in my last extra  of 2022.

We decided to vacate the house as people kept arriving prior to the wedding in Bath at noon. We thought if we were out the girls wouldn’t miss mummy and daddy leaving too much. Three of these couples are returning tonight to stay over, it will be chaos, but we intend being in bed before they return though we will be making a special dinner for ourselves when the girls have gone to bed.

The wedding is a theatrical event of course, lots of Graces’s am dram friends,  we’ve had pictures of them doing a silent disco in the middle of Bath in the rain before taking a coach to the reception venue. Theatricals, they are all a bit crazy!

Hope you have a lovely Old Year’s Night if you are celebrating the end of 2022 and the arrival of the New Year!

Looks like a truly awful end to 2022 as far as the weather is concerned, raining heavily now, not sure if we’ll be able to see fireworks over Bath at midnight.
