A view from Jeanneb

Here’s to 2023!

Happy New Year!

There’s always someone crazy enough to wild swim on New Years Day and today it was a Grace.
She was invited by the neighbour in the school house that we visited after the carol singing on the green.  Always one for a challenge, they went to a Lake at Holt near Bradford on Avon after lunch.

The view over Bath had cleared by midnight last night so we enjoyed a wonderful view of fireworks over the city and over the  hill in the direction of Bradford on Avon. We shouted Happy New Year to the neighbours over the hedges and Janet next door wanted us to join them for fizz but we explained we were baby sitting and frankly we were ready for bed. We needed to get there before the wedding revellers returned.

We had 10 adults and two children for breakfast! Great fun with lots of stories from the wedding.

After everyone had gone Jude brought me my camera. She wanted to take pictures of everybody including herself. I let her press the button for them all. I took the extra of her and she provided the pose without any prompting! ( So good to have 100 extras again)

A lovely start to 2023. We even had sunshine and no rain! Let’s hope the new year brings the peace needed across the world, especially for the people of the Ukraine.
I hope all you lovely people in blipland and your families have a happy, healthy and peaceful 2023!

Remembering R - Mr Corinthian Column - whose birthday would have been today. We would have been celebrating his memory with friends in our local had we been at home.
