Cloudy Sunrise

We don't often have clouds, though we are getting closer and closer to the start of the rainy season, so our sunrises and sunsets are quite dull. This morning was an exception, with an interesting layer of patchy clouds partially obscuring the sun as it rose in the eastern sky. I was a bit slow getting to a good photo vantage point and so missed the rays when they were at their most vibrant. It is difficult to separate the memories from the actual photo. When I look at this again in a month, while archiving, when the memories have faded, I imagine I will wonder why I selected it. But, with those glowing memories fresh in my mind, it is my choice for today.
