End of the year

We made it through another year.

The first Camellia has been in flower for a couple of days and I've only just noticed it.. and the 2nd one behind it.

We went for  walk along Channelside which was very very quiet. Only our car in the car park. 
A wet drizzlynfay that got wetter.

A bottle of champagne to toast the New Year as we watched the firework display on the tv. 
As midnight chimed, the ships Hooters sounded in the docks nearby and there were a few fireworks too, Not as many as previous years. Perhaps other people are having quieter New Year celebrations too. Once upon a time wed have done a lot more. New Year was always a big thing for us. 
But things change.
