It's Gonna Start Again at Four O'clock

That was the prediction, and here it is at 4:45 with no rain yet. HELLA windy though. It's common knowledge by now, what with all the bulletins and notices and emails and disaster messages, that tonight and tomorrow will be the Big Storm. Various areas in the surrounding community have been put on evacuation notice, mostly places near creeks and waterways. We ventured out this afternoon to the Farmers' Market, but there were only about a half dozen vendors huddled together. I'm surprised those folks were able to get into their fields, much less drive into town.

We headed over to the ocean for a look-see. Notice there is a child in a bathing suit at the edge of the water, and a few surfers bobbing around. It was cold. There is so much wood washed ashore. I heard there was a stump at least six feet across, but we didn't see anything that big. Back home, built a fire, discussing what to have for dinner.
