Cones, yes; Leaves, no

Mid-afternoon walk in Swanson. Managed to dodge the rain. The few birds I saw generally absconded pretty quickly. There was one small Piwakawaka (fantail) which moved again within a couple of seconds of landing anywhere.

I had to concentrate on walking carefully, due to the forefoot soles of both shoes becoming detached and flopping around  from where they were still attached. The first extra shows the use of masking tape; applied by daughter J to ensure nothing would interfere with my use of the pedals in the car on the way home.

This evening S' cousin from London took us to The Falls Bistro in Henderson for a meal, before she flies back to the northern hemisphere tomorrow. The cousins are shown in the second extra.
