Giving Nothing (Or Everything) Away, East Farleigh

Today's shot was, very loosely, inspired by an image from W.Eugene Smith's magnificent, flawed but brilliant monumental photographic essay about Pittsburgh. If you haven't seen any images from his wonderful magnus opus then I recommend taking a deep dive. He was difficult, abrasive, combative but also empathetic, incredibly impassioned and humane. He was my first photographic hero and I could not recommend a greater place to start with him if you want to be inspired and humbled at the same time. A true one off.
