Helping Around A Difficult Corner, West Malling

Struggled badly in getting myself up this morning but eventually went for a run in the pouring rain. Me and my brother have a run in our repertoire  that has always been known as the "Ditton corner run" -  the corner itself is a turning into Station Road which is about halfway through the trot and is basically the turning for home. Sometimes on a bad day we help each other get round it when we really, really don't want to do a run. The thing is, however bad a run is, you always feel better for having done it.
The weather didn't improve much but we went to West Malling for a drink and something to eat at The Five Pointed Star. The bar staff are really friendly, the service is great and the food is excellent. What's not to love!
Today's image was taken a stone's throw from the pub itself. It's a bit of a metaphor for life - helping each other round difficult corners binds us together and that kind of support, wherever it comes from, is so precious. My brother has helped me round so many difficult corners and I appreciate his help so much.
