Frosted.

It's been a bitterly cold day and quite windy.  Kept having to top up the bird food. Put away yesterday's laundry, did exercises, a bit of dusting  and took delivery of a Lakeland duster with all of its extending handle present and correct.  We have a new Evri driver who is very nice which is good news, although they are not a company I am that keen on.  Apart from that it was all lying about reading.  Tried photographing the birds but it's still quite dark and there's only so many blue tit photos I can cope with. The Christmas roses are still in bud.  It's too cold for there to be progress anywhere.  Found frosted buds on the tree peony that I quite liked.  It's supposed to be tender and took years before it decided to flower at all.  Can't imagine what's got into it.  Heavy rain is forecast for tomorrow with strong winds later in the afternoon. I'm meeting Margaret and Linda tomorrow at Muircot farm shop and am feeling uncertain.  Hoping that one of them might phone up to cancel.  Better wait and see what tomorrow brings.
