Boundless Topographies

The artwork in the main floor of the Hans Rosling Center for Population Health on the UW campus.    Our book club met there in one of its small meeting rooms…   The sun shone today making these gold nylon fibers stand out.  It’s a system representing the worlds highest summits from each of the 7 continents.    Here’s a link if you are interested….there’s a short video of this artist and also of one other https://www.washington.edu/populationhealth/hans-rosling-center-tour/. And some general info about this impressive new building.
A great idea to learn new places but a lot of practical trouble  with our aging group.    I think we’ll stick to our homes.   But 6 of us enjoyed a lovely lunch and a very warm conversation about Ivan Doig’s The Whistling Season., about an old one room school in Montana’s early 1900s.
More in extra….. with the other 2 artworks in the link.
That’s our hostess in the ponytail in the main.
